I am a husband, father, and committed Christian. I created the Bible Artist platform in 2018 as a space to reflect on the intersection of biblical interpretation, adaptation, art, project-based learning, and youth ministry, drawing on my experience as a youth leader, teacher, and writer. In 2017, I received my M. Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary with Highest Distinction, along with the Frederick Buechner Award for Excellence in Writing and the Pastoral Ministry Award. After serving as the Director of Youth Ministry for several years in a Presbyterian (PCA) church plant in New England, I transitioned out of ministry in 2022 to focus on writing. In 2023 I completed the Act One Hollywood Screenwriting program.

Statement of Faith
The Bible Artist Blog walks the line between literary/artistic analysis and theology. Because I provide a variety of resources for use in the church and youth ministry, I want to be upfront about my theological perspective. I affirm standard Bible-believing (evangelical) Protestant doctrines:
The Bible: I believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

God: I believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Ministry of Jesus: I believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

Salvation: I believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit: I believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.

Resurrection: I believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

Unity of Believers: I believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
